My kids love German!

Wow, we just started the German for Kids Program and it's fantastic! My little ones are absolutely loving the themed vocabulary units and the cultural activity guides. They actually ask to do their 'German time' every day. The video lessons are so engaging, and the interactive games are a hit. I was worried they wouldn't stick with it, but they're picking up words so fast. This program makes language learning so fun and easy. I'm definitely going to recommend this to all my friends with young kids. So glad we found The Cultured Kid!

Easy to use, kids like it

Got the Mandarin for Kids Program. It's simple. My kids, 3 and 6, enjoy the video lessons. Short lessons are good. I like the parent guides. No complaints.

Good for Spanish, some small issues

I signed up for the Spanish for Kids Program for my 4-year-old a few months ago. The Play-Based Learning Curriculum is really effective; my daughter picks up words easily and enjoys the video lessons. The daily 5-minute sessions are manageable, even on busy days. I appreciated the Parent Teaching Guides, they made me feel more confident even though I'm not fluent myself. My main gripe was with some of the Flashcards – a few seemed a bit less vibrant than the online examples. Also, it took a bit to figure out the best way to integrate the audio resources into our routine. Overall, it's a solid program for the price, but there's room for minor improvements in consistency across all materials.

Great value, worth the try

I was looking for an affordable way to introduce my son to French, and The Cultured Kid came up. I grabbed the annual membership during a seasonal enrollment sale, which saved me a good chunk of money compared to monthly. The French for Kids Program is really well-structured. We've been using the Language Lesson Library, and the interactive games keep him engaged. I felt like I got a lot for my money, especially with the parent guides and all the extra printables. It's definitely worth it if you can snag a deal like I did. I was a bit skeptical at first, but the savings made it an easy decision to try it out.

I'm looking at this vs Little Pim for my toddler. Anyone have experience with both or can say which is better?

N Nina S. 1 month ago
I tried Little Pim first and it was okay, but The Cultured Kid's play-based approach just clicked better with my kiddo. The daily lessons are more engaging.

The Cultured Kid feels more structured for parents who don't speak the language themselves, whereas Little Pim felt a bit more like just showing videos. TCK also gives you more tools like printables.

Does The Cultured Kid ever do sales? Like, I'm waiting for a good deal before I commit to an annual membership.

K Kate Hughes 1 month ago
They definitely have sales! I got my annual membership during their Black Friday event last year, saved a good chunk.

Keep an eye out around Back to School or January, I think I saw some deals then too. And there's usually a first month or annual discount for new sign-ups.

Thinking of signing up for the French program, but I'm worried my kids will get bored easily. How long are the daily lessons really?

R Ryan 1 month ago
They're super short, like 5 minutes. My little one actually stays engaged for the whole thing because it's so quick.

Yeah, five minutes is about right. It's designed to be play-based so it doesn't feel like a chore for them.

My niece is 8, would this still be good for her or is she too old for The Cultured Kid?

C Cleo P. 1 month ago
It's mainly for 2-7 year olds. My friend tried it with her 8-year-old and it was a bit too simple for him.

They say 2-7 on their site, so 8 might be pushing it. You could always try the free trial though to see if it works for her!
